The inaugural Plett Manor Pro 10 Competition, sponsored by Devmark Property Group, Helen Melon Properties and Personal Trust, was held in stunning weather on 6 and 7 June 2018 at the Plettenberg Bay Bowling Club.
Participants came from as far afield as Barrydale, Mossel Bay and St Francis with 26 teams of three vying for the highest prize money to be had in the Eden District. Fifty percent of the participants were visitors to Plettenberg Bay over this two-day event. Prize money up for grabs included 10 cash prizes and 4 consolation prizes. Goodie bags supplied by Devmark and Helen Melon were well received by all players.
The winning team received R3 600, 2nd place R3 000 and 3rd place R2 400. 1ST prize was won by the team from Barrydale, consisting of Harry Franklin, Clifford Franklin and Koos Robert. 2nd prize went to the Knysna team of Kobus Rousseau, Malcolm Kell and Bertie Blignaut. 3rd prize went to Tys Pringle, Martie Pringle and Jill Power, representing the George team.
This is the first time this competition has taken place in Plettenberg Bay and was very well received by all who entered and the organisers are highly expectant of a full field for next year’s event.
The Plettenberg Manor is an exclusive retirement resort, rated in the Top 10 retirement villages in South Africa. Phase 1 and 2 are almost sold out with 61 of 69 units already sold. Houses range in size between 100 – 216m² and apartments 67 m². On completion, the development will house 118 houses and 24 apartments. Phase 3 is due to be released mid-July.
